Its one of those movies where rating doesn't do any justice. Acting is simple and natural. Movie is as real as it can get. Camera work and background score is precise. Few dialogues makes you question, "is discovering something comes at a cost of another thing". There is one shot from the movie ,the view from Europa's surface encompasses Jupiter and its two other moons and a dim yellow light at the background- the sun. It just shows again how insignificant we humans are and why we constantly fight each other for power, money!! Movies like these should be often attempted as they are not only gripping but also educational and inspirational. I would definitely recommend this movie.

The before landing part of the movie itself is so boring and uneventful that authors decided to cut it into pieces and shuffle them into hard-to-follow non-linear mess, which forces you to pay at least some attention to all those things not happening there. It is hard to imagine that flight to Jupiter will be that boring - there might be flybys, awesome views of Jupiter approaching, there might be interesting problems to be solved, there might be interesting scientific sub-missions to be worked on during flight and the crew should be a group of interesting people who discuss interesting things on the long journey. All that would have sparked interest in science in the viewer, as well as interest in the heroes and what happens to them. That does not happen at all, I did not learn anything and did not get interested in what happens with those 1-D cardboard characters aboard. Movie itself is without expensive stunning special effects. Which I thought to be a good thing, as I expected this to be offset by incredible attention to detail and realism. Needless to say, this was also a disappointment and there are many disturbing details in the movie - a footage of departing command module was clearly a stock footage of a launcher with dual payload capsule. How would astronauts get in? How would they get out if the mission was postponed? In another shot, there is an entry-level consumer camera being unpacked by one astronaut, where in reality, nobody would pay the fuel cost to get a 5

This might have generalized spoilers. This is a very original and tense film. It feels very realistic and it taps into our hopes and expectations of Alien life in an amazing way. People are saying that it is low budget. It is not in my opinion. It is realistic. I feel that people have watched to many Hollywood movies, because if anyone has seen any NASA space mission footage, it feels very much like it. This is not E.T. Everything about this film puts you in the shoes of the amazing and brave situations astronauts go through and the truly fragile tether that links them to us on earth. It makes one wonder at the possibilities out there in space. I highly recommend this film.

Europa Report is hardly worth more than a 3/10. This is an extremely amateur attempt at a feature length film that is barely better in the special effects than your average basement production slasher. And nothing else in this film could possibly be said to be even that good. Terrible camera work, horrid lighting, bad actors and bad dialogue aren't even the last of E.R's problems. Horrible direction and a back- of-the-napkin story thats more predictable than death or taxes make this film substantially less appetising than your average college-level production. Compound ofc with any other filmmaking mistakes you can think of .. bad props, bad editing, bad casting .. My vote : 3/10 there is NO reason whatsoever to watch this thing.
